Fed up of driving to the Alps, sick of the airport queues? Why not try something different this winter and book on the Eurostar Snow Train!
Eurostar released their winter prices and are ready to start taking your bookings now! From just £75 per person (one way) and no extra charges for your skis and snowboards PLUS 2 suitcases free of charge, it really is a stress free way to go!
From December 22nd 2017 to April 7th 2018 the Eurostar ski train leaves from St Pancras International or Ashford International and whisks you to Moutiers, Aime-la-Plagne (no return) or Bourg St Maurice at a whopping 186mph!
Which ski resorts can you access?
The snow train is a great way to visit some of the following amazing ski resorts:
Sainte Foy, Valmorel, La Rosiere, Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), 1650 (Moriond), 1850, Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, La Tania, Tignes, Val d’Isere, La Plagne, Les Arcs, St Martin de Belleville
Get in touch if you would like to explore accommodation options in any of these fantastic resorts!
When does it leave?
There are 2 options available and 2 trains per week. The first, running from January to April leaves on Friday evening dropping you at your destination on Saturday morning. The train leaves again on Saturday evening meaning you can grab an extra couple of days on the piste!
If snoozing on the train isn’t your thing then you can enjoy your home comforts before heading to the train on Saturday morning and arriving in time for dinner on Saturday evening! This train runs from December until April 2018.
What are the on board facilities like?
There are 2 buffet cars on board and plenty of luggage space in each cabin. The seats are spacious and comfortable with fold down tables or tables of 4 for bigger groups. We can also confirm that some of the ChaletFinder team have experienced the snow train and say it is generally super clean and the check in procedure is nice and easy though you do need to be there around an hour before departure. All in all a great experience!
