Sainte Foy may not seem as large the neighbouring resorts of Val D’Isère, Tignes and Les Arcs but the available terrain for both skiing and hiking is impressive and beautiful.  A hidden gem nestled in the Savoie region; this pretty resort has a charm which makes it feel older than its 30 years. Strict planning requirements has meant that all Sainte Foy Lodges, chalets and buildings are in keeping with a traditional French resort – beautiful to look at and enjoy.

Winter

Known for its incredible off-piSainte, Sainte Foy is the place local ski instructors go to enjoy their day off.  The resort also appeals to families because of the natural bowl shape, which means all piSaintes end at the same point.  The piSaintes are uncrowded, making it ideal for those new to skiing.  For non-skiers there is snow shoeing to the beautiful Monal Village or to a hidden Igloo in the forest where you can enjoy a vin chaud or a hot chocolate and marshmallows over a campfire.  A number of bars and restaurants are dotted around the resort – most traditional French but some with international cuisine.

Summer

Escaping the summer holiday crowds is the objective for this summer’s travel and in Sainte Foy you can do just that.  Sainte Foy is known for beautiful and quiet mountain trekking.  Grab a map, picnic and a pair of walking boots and head off to find the most beautiful scenery and quiet Alpine hamlets. In the station you will find activities sponsored by the tourist office, basketball, pony trekking, ping pong and live music events.   Sainte Foy sits in the middle of the Vanois national park, making it perfect for a summer safari of activities with many fun and interesting things to do just a short drive away.
