Is Sainte Foy on Your Ski Holiday Wishlist? If not, it should be!
Our friends at Premier Neige have popped together some great reasons to add Sainte Foy to your ski holiday destinations!
Sainte Foy is a charming chocolate-box ski resort, in the heart of the Tarentaise – the go-to ski destination. The small, friendly resort is often described as ‘The Jewel in the Crown’ thanks to its fantastic location. It’s close to Geneva, Chambery, Lyon, and Grenoble Airports, so there are a multitude of flight options from UK airports, not to mention that the Eurostar ski train terminus of Bourg St Maurice is just 25 minutes away.
Friendly, authentic atmosphere and quiet slopes…
If you’re getting a bit bored of the larger ski resorts where the slopes are packed and lift queues are crazy, then Sainte Foy could be just the ticket for your next winter holiday. There is such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, uncrowded quiet slopes and rarely a queue to get on the ski lifts! The piste side restaurants have authentic Alpine vibes and stunning views providing the perfect lunchtime pit stop where you can sample a variety of local, delicious specialities and drinks.
Skiing & Snowboarding – Pistes and Off-piste for All…
Small lift system… Big Terrain! At first glance you may think that because there are only 4 lifts in Sainte Foy that the ski area is small, but don’t be fooled, great things come in small packages. There are over 35km of pristine pistes, with lots of beginner slopes, blues, reds and black runs and tree-lined tracks. Adventurous powder hunters can venture into the vast expanse of back country and even if you have no previous experience, it’s quite easy to book a guide to introduce you to the joys of off-piste. The skiing in Sainte Foy is so legendary, that it’s a well known fact that ski instructors from other resorts come to Sainte Foy on their days off!
Fantastic for Families
Offering uncrowded, family-friendly beginner and nursery slopes, the resort is ideal for those just starting out, or looking to build up their confidence, with FREE skiing for children under 5! There is also a fantastic kids club (from the age of 3 – 11) P’tits Trappeurs, where your little ones can enjoy sledging, making snowmen, arts and crafts and lots of fun and games anywhere from an hour to a whole day with lunch!
